Ester is a community-spirited place: we like where we live and we take care of it. Leaving it to the government or to "somebody else" to do would mean giving up the sense of pride and accomplishment we feel when we come together to beautify our village on Cleanup Day or at the park work parties or other events. It's our village, and our responsibility, and that's good--and fun, too!
