THIRD THURSDAY ESTER FARMERS & CRAFT MARKET

Every Third Thursday throughout the summer, the EMCE sponsors a market at the Ester Community Park from 4 to 8 pm.

Bring your goods and wares for sale, too! While EMCE members are encouraged, nonmembers may also participate. For more information, contact the market manager or go to the market page.

MARKET DAYS A SUCCESS

Ester's first market was small but successful, with a steady stream of customers and passersby. The second market, held July 17, saw twice as many vendors and sales. Our August market day, held on the 21st, was held at the park on a beautiful sunny day and featured more new vendors and wares. Goods offered included pottery, honey, wrought iron utensils, herbs, quilting kits, clothing, toys, t-shirts, jewelry, scarves, hats, garden starts and other plants, fresh vegetables, dried spices and teas, books, newspapers, photographs, and more.

PLANTING DAY

June 1, Sunday, was Planting Day. Fully twenty people participated in this fun event, and now pots and planters of nasturtiums, sunflowers, baby's breath, lobelia, and bouquets' worth of other flowers adorn the streets of Ester. The Golden Eagle Saloon and PhotoSynthesis also planted their flowerpots and gardens. Full bloom is expected soon!
